PARIS LOVES US
A film by
Loren Denis and Anthony Vibert
Paris Loves US is a movement, a feeling, a state of mind, that emerged organically and spontaneously around 2014.
Founded by Dieylane Cissé, Camille Tanoh, and Nawfel Ouaamar, all raised in the Parisian suburbs, their message is simple : wherever you come from, Paris loves you.
The 3 of them saw Paris as a metaphor for the ideal world they aspired to as children, even though the city has experienced its share of turmoil (revolutions have been numerous), and still feels increasingly divided by the rise of separatist rhetoric... They felt Paris needed positivity and unity more than ever in the face of an increasingly polarized social and political landscape, and created Paris Loves US for that purpose.
The film thus invites society to rethink the notions of perfection and integration, recognizing that they manifest themselves in all shapes, forms, and identities.
PARIS LOVES US
SHORT VERSION
Like Paris, built strong from centuries of inspiration...
...Our goal is to make positivity an everlasting destination.
Whoever we are
Wherever we’re from
Whatever we believe
She feels us
Her, mother Paris
Us, her collected children
So here we are,
United,
Confident,
Residents.
And that’s why...
Paris Loves Us.
